POTTY TUTOR is an idea whose time has come. It is a low tech device that is inexpensive, yet very effective.

 

Training your family members to improve their bathroom habits is very important to us and to the world.  How much illness is created by people forgetting these very important steps when they use the restroom?

 

Potty Tutor is a patent pending device that fits under the seat or lid of any toilet and provides visual and audible reminders to all who use it, "Please, lower the seat, flush the toilet, and wash your hands, dear. Thank you." We believe  by having this device say "please" and "thank-you" we are also promoting kindness and tact in our world.

 

How many couples have fought over the seat being left up? It is often mentioned in couple's relationship books or articles.

We also believe that keeping the lid down on your toilet is an important part of bathroom cleanliness. Therefore we advise you to place the unit on the lid. Actually, at our home we have found that one on the lid AND one on the seat is even more effective. The unit will "speak" no matter how the person uses the toilet.

 

We also have plans to customize our product for other uses, including public restrooms.  However, we can only do that after this project is funded.

Risks and challenges

We have a supplier in China that is ready to make these for us. The products in our pictures are "working" pre-production prototypes. Therefore we've actually been able to see them at work, and most effectively.

 

At this point we have to raise the funds to place our initial order. Once the order is placed our factory will take about one month to make them, and then they will sit on a ship for about one month while they travel across the ocean. We are excited and eager to get started!

 

Our packaging artwork is nearly completed, and our import license is in place. There are a lot of technical things that need to be taken care of when one imports from overseas. All that has been taken care of or is in the works.

 

There could be a major delay if our factory doesn't make the quality that we will demand. However, we will be having a "third party" company do on site inspections of the product as it is being produced. So we do not anticipate this as a problem... however if there are some snafus in that area, it could significantly delay our supplying your Potty Tutors. Again, we are taking precautions so that this does not happen! We are confident that you will be using your Potty Tutors near our projected ship date.
